Hah. Your title for this post reminded me of the title for your birthday present for last year ("Where the West Wind Blows"), and it has some of the same themes; did I base it off the song? No, not really--it just worked out that way. But it's still funny...
You know, Merry, I always thought of this song when I read that story. :) And that is a good thing. A VERY good thing. And now you know one of my ideals of what I want to do when I'm in love. Walk through a field with him. Yes. I'm a dork. And yes, I expect you already know that. This is why we love each other so much. ^_^
Annie, I know what you mean. For me... it's so sweet it produces a wealth of emotion. Good thing, usually.
*sigh* I just love that song... they play it lots on the radio station I listen to at work. Everytime I hear it I just feel happy and butterfly-full and dreamy. ^-^
And I think of all of my walks around Sundial. ^-^ Not quite 'fields of gold'; but trees full of golden memories, for sure.

ReplyDeleteCall me crazy, but this song always makes me cry. "Many years have passed since those summer days among the fields of barley." Not entirely sure why.

It's Amarie and Finrod's song! :) I wish... you could come up and see me and we could listen to this song and talk.
ReplyDeleteI miss my dryad-sisters...
